The Advent Season is a time of expectation that centers on waiting and reflection. We wait with the gifts of the Spirit. Peace is one of those gifts. This is not an idea is it is a person: Jesus! Isaiah 9:6 we tells us that He is the "Prince of Peace" and his government will bring order. This world is chaotic and peace is an illusion. Yet the Christmas story tells us "Peace on earth and good will to men" to given through the birth of Christ! Jesus promises peace, a peace the world does not give. Jesus came that we would have peace that would cease the war within!
